2018 St Augustine Restaurant Week + Food & Wine Festival

When you stay at Casa de Solana in the heart of St. Augustine’s historic district, you’ll be within a short walk to four of these restaurants. Breakfasts at the inn are a treat for foodies, too. Our guests start off each day with a gourmet meal including a special hot entrée featuring fresh, local, organic produce. Our chef might tempt your taste buds with Roasted Asparagus Caprese Melts with Balsamic Reduction and Fried Egg, or a Seasonal Omelet with Romano Cheese and Ham, topped with Red-Pepper Pesto .

SAiRA (St. Augustine Independent Restaurant Association) will host the 2018 Food and Wine Festival on Sunday, October 14, 2018. It will feature the dozen participating restaurants’ specialties from appetizers and main courses to salads and desserts. Guests will be welcomed to the Festival with a souvenir wine glass, and over 100 wines will be offered for sampling! A silent auction will feature vintage wines, dining gift certificates, gifts from local shops, and more. The Festival’s location, the elegant River House, is just a 15 minute stroll along St. Augustine’s historic Bayfront from our Inn. Food and Wine Festival tickets are limited and can be purchased online; all proceeds benefit the Boys and Girls Club of St. Augustine.

The Food and Wine Festival introduces the 2018 St. Augustine Restaurant Week, Monday October 15 to Sunday, October 21, 2018. During that week, visitors can choose from unique Restaurant Week menus for luncheon and dinner at the participating restaurants. These prix fixe menus are offered at special prices – $20 per person for luncheon and $35 person for dinner (excluding tax and gratuity). Restaurant Week Passports will be available at any of the 12 restaurants. Diners who receive passport stamps from five restaurants throughout the week will receive a bonus – $25 off their sixth visit to a participating restaurant.

Four of the 12 Restaurant Week restaurants are located within a 6-8 minute stroll of our B&B on Aviles Street (0.3 – 0.4 mile): Catch 27, The Floridian, Meehan’s on Matanzas, and Michael’s Tasting Room. The Raintree is about a 20 minute walk, and the remaining restaurants are within easy driving distances. They include: Amici Italian Restaurant, Cap’s on the Water, Gypsy Cab Company, Purple Olive, The Reef, South Beach Grill, Sunset Grille, and Terra & Acqua.

We invite our guests to relax in our historic courtyard, dining room or parlor with a glass of wine and cheese and crackers.
