18 May Summer Vacation Savings in St Augustine: Free Concerts
Music lovers – get away to Saint Augustine and save! Visitors to St. Augustine can enjoy free concerts both Wednesday and Thursday evenings all summer, plus special midweek savings at Casa de Solana Bed and Breakfast for a three or four night stay.
Wednesdays: Plan to explore St. Augustine Beach and enjoy Music by the Sea oceanfront concerts at The St Johns County Pier Park. The beachfront park includes a fishing pier, pavilion, splash park, bicycling and beach sports. Listen to Music by the Sea concerts Wednesdays from May 16 through September 12, 2018. The 16th annual summer music and food festival features a wide variety of music including jazz, blues, pop, classic rock, disco, reggae, disco and country.
Each week, a different restaurant serves an optional dinner that showcases its menu. This year’s restaurants include St. Augustine Beach favorites like Sunset Grille, Salt Life Food Shack, and Mango Mango’s. Dinner service begins at 6:00 pm and the bands plays from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Admission is free for the concert; the price for meals is $10 or less per person. Thursdays: Guests can listen to free summer music concerts under the spreading oaks in the historic Plaza de la Constitución, just two blocks away from our bed and breakfast on Aviles Street. Concerts in the Plaza showcases a great variety of musical genres by local and regional bands, including jazz, blues, bluegrass, R&B, classic rock, folk, brass, and old-time Americana. The 28th season of free performances is scheduled from 7:00 – 9:00 pm every Thursday, from May 31 through August 30, 2018, at The Gazebo in the Plaza. Plan to spread out a blanket on the lawn and enjoy a picnic dinner while you listen to a little night music (alcoholic beverages prohibited in the Plaza).
