Another that’s-so-St. Augustine suggestion is an evening ceremony at the gazebo in the Plaza de la Constitucion (America’s oldest public park). For the entire month of December (and January), the Plaza’s oak trees shine bright, draped in an exquisite display of white lights; the Christmas tree is right there; the Basilica on one side, the luxurious Casa Monica hotel on the other; the bay breeze brings a bit of holiday chill for that extra romance factor. You can even invite 65 guests to share in your special moment. All one must do to make this happen is obtain a $60 event permit from St. Augustine’s Public Affairs Office at 75 King Street (4th floor, Elevator B). The Public Affairs Office is open 8 am to 5 pm, Monday thru Friday. Call 825.1096 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for details. To obtain that permit, you will be required to provide proof of event insurance, which can be purchased online for very reasonable rates by such providers as EventInsurance.com, TheEventHelper.com, EventInsuranceNow.com, etc., but be sure to check with the Public Affairs Office for the detailed requirements before you purchase!
How much would your guests love you if you arranged to have a Country Carriage (wagon) pick them up at the Plaza and take them for a ride around the city to see all the holiday lights, while you simultaneously slip away and enjoy your first married moments together in private. Call Jennifer at 826-1982 for details and pricing.
Park Benjamin said “Flowers are love's truest language”. With that in mind, you absolutely must contact Lois Bodian-Pollaci for your all your floral needs. It is hard to find someone who is professional in every way, with the experience and the intuition to bring to fruition the exact (and beyond) bouquet and floral scheme you have always dreamed of. Lois makes floral miracles happen regardless of your budget. You’ll find her at Winn Dixie South, 1010 South Ponce de Leon Boulevard, 829.5509.
