A Brew With A View
at the St. Augustine Lighthouse
Thursday, June 6, 7 to 10 pm
$30 pp nonmembers / $25 pp members
The St. Augustine Lighthouse in St Augustine FL is an awesome adventure on any day. Climb to the top of the lighthouse tower for a majestic view of the nation's oldest city and the Atlantic Ocean while a historic interpreter tells about the changing coastline and its impact on ships over the city's long history; discover the origins of the modern commercial shrimping industry that brought shrimp to dinner tables all over the world at the exhibit Northeast Florida Shrimping; watch traditional wooden boat building and learn about the different types of vessels used in the area.
The popular Sunset/Moonrise monthly event features a champagne toast provided by San Sebastian Winery and light hors d'oeuvres prepared by The Reef. The Dark of the Moon Tour on the weekends is the ONLY ghost tour that gets you into the tower after dark. Jason and Grant of Ghost Hunters say this place is definitely haunted!
The random events are just as awesome! Brew With A View. On Thursday, June 6, the St. Augustine Lighthouse will host a fabulous evening to include a low-country boil, local craft beer, and live music. Visitors can watch the sun set from atop of the tower then enjoy the stunning nightscape and lovely after-dark air! ! The latest artifacts recovered by the Lighthouse Archaeological Maritime Program's archaeologists will also be on display. Call for tickets 829.0745 or click here!
