Typically, in order to have your ceremony at a bed and breakfast in St. Augustine, you must rent a room, sometimes with a 2-night-stay requirement. We have waived temporarily that requirement to accommodate every budget! No room rental required, and you’ll be treated as wonderfully as if you were an overnight guest!

This package is for bride and groom plus 2 guests (no exceptions).  Although budget riented, this is not one of those cheap, haphazard moments. With the brick-paved courtyard underfoot as you walk to the jasmine-covered arbor decorated with hundreds of sparkling white lights and tulle, and background ambiance facilitated by the softly-trickling water fountain, this will be the romantic moment you dreamed about! The jasmine-covered arbor will be yours for an hour, where you can sit down and enjoy the serenity of your surroundings while sampling your gourmet cupcake plate. You will receive a keepsake marriage (or reaffirmation) certificate made just for you from shots taken during your amateur fun photo shoot (20 frames, emphasis on the amateur).  Again, room rental is NOT required, but a 50% nonrefundable deposit is due at the time of booking.  You are welcome to order items through the Inn as if you were an overnight guest, like sparkling cider, chocolate-covered strawberries, a cheese and crackers plate, a horse and carriage ride, etc.

The Montejurra Room, one of our finest rooms, is very popular amongst honeymooning couples, with its private balcony overlooking Charlotte Street and the nearby waterfront of downtown St. Augustine. A spacious accommodation, Montejurra occupies much of the second floor of Casa’s original structure. Furnished with a beautiful king-sized bed and 19th century antiques, the room is warmed by a gas fireplace and windows that bathe it in sunlight in the morning and in the afternoon. A spacious private bathroom with a lovely garden 2-person whirlpool tub (with shower) adds to the modern appeal of this magnificent room.  There is also a large balcony with rocking chairs that overlooks the courtyard on the second floor. The St. Augustine Garrison will, after a two-year hiatus, again present Changing of the Guard/Guardia de la Noche ceremonies in late 2011 and early 2012. Participants will muster at the Taberna del Gallo on St. George Street at 5:15 p.m. and the first group of guards will proceed to the Government House on the Plaza de la Constitución at 5:30. The second, or relief, squad will follow shortly thereafter and the two groups will converge at 6:00 p.m. at the Governor’s Palace site, where the Changing of the Guard ceremony and a salutary flintlock musket volley will be presented. The two groups will then join together and march back to the Taberna, where the combined group will be discharged of its nightly duties.

 The holiday tour, sponsored by St. Augustine Historic Inns (SAHI), has become a much anticipated highlight of the city’s Nights of Lights celebration, featuring 25 unique inns decorated for the Christmas season. 

 Visitors will tour 13 inns the first day, and 12 the second day — where they also will sample signature dishes provided by the St. Augustine area’s top restaurants, candy-makers and vintners.

St. Augustine past Mayors of St. Augustine meet in the historic Plaza de la Constitucion to “flip the switch” to light up the Nights of Lights. The festivities begin at 4:00 p.m. with spirited holiday performances in the Plaza’s Gazebo. Then at 6:30 p.m., all attending this festive event will be asked to participate in the countdown to the lighting.
