Q1. The best way to see St Augustine?
A. We advise our guest to use Ripley's Red Trains or Old Town Trolley. It takes an hour and a half to ride the train without departing. This gives an excellent overview of our town along with a great history of St. Augustine, Florida.
Q2. What are the main attractions to visit, if we are only here for 1 day?
A. The MUST SEES! Castillo de San Marcos, Flagler College Legacy Tour, Colonial Quarter and the Lightner Museum and the St. Augustine Lighthouse are among favorites with past guests. St Augustine has many more wonderful attractions to see and visit. Please stay longer than 1 day.
Q3. What are your pet friendly rooms?
A. The Mary Mitchell and Kirby Smith Rooms, require a $50 pet fee whether it is a 1 night stay or a two week stay. Two Pets per room only.
Q4. How far is St Augustine Beach from the downtown historic District of St. Augustine?
A. St Augustine Beach is about 3.5 miles away and the Vilano Beach is about 4.5 miles away and we provide beach towels at the inn.
Q5. Are you vegan or vegetarian friendly? No meat is served at the inn. We are totally vegetarian friendly. Vegans, we require a 48 hour advance notice for your breakfast. The choices are a quinoa stuffed burrito topped with avocado or a tofu scramble with veggies.
Q6. How old is Casa de Solana?
A. The Casa de Solana property is over 250 years old. We are the seventh oldest property in the city.
Q7. What are your Check-in and Check-out times?
A. Check-in is at 3pm and Check-out is at 11am.
Q8. Do you provide parking and is there a fee?
A. Our parking is free and shared with other bed and breakfasts. It is located 3 blocks from the inn.
Q9. How late is someone on the property?
A. There is an innkeeper on duty daily until 7pm. Morning innkeeper arrives at 6am.
Q10. Do you provide internet access?
A. Every room has free WIFI on the property for our guests.
Q11. Do we have to share a bathroom?
A. We have 10 guest rooms and each room has its own bathroom. No bathroom is shared.
Q12. Do you allow motorcycles to park at your bed and breakfast?
A. Motorcycles are free of charge and may park in the courtyard.
Q13. Do you allow Children?
A. We are a romantic and quiet inn. The inn is not a suitable environment for children.
